[Toshinori, you can't just tell someone to not be troubled and then continue to wheeze like that. Not an effective strategy. Plus, being referred to as 'young man' only gets Zed thinking about Libra's second-in-command, which doesn't help the conflicted feelings. But if he's really convinced everything's fine...Well, the fishman's worried aura seems to calm down a bit. He's only following along to make sure the man doesn't self-combust or crumple over and die before getting to the bench.]
Pardon me for a moment. [He's suddenly got an idea now that Toshinori is sitting-- Zed reaches out a webbed hand to gently place it on his shoulder. There's that newly-acquainted zap of Chroma-producing energy that he hopes will help give the other a boost for collecting himself.]
[He takes a couple careful breaths on the bench, wiping at his chin with the back of a hand, expecting there to be blood there.]
Ah--? [He looks up in time to see the fishman reaching for him. Toshinori has never really shied away from touch--that kind of went hand in hand with being mobbed by fans--so he just sits there and lets himself be touched.]
[He was not expecting that little surge of energy, however, and he jumps in surprise, letting out brief bark that is punctuated by another curl of flame--but thankfully no blood or coughing fit.]
[Zed startles as well but only because grilled fish is not on the menu today. He may be used to working back-to-back with his fiery colleague from home, but Zapp didn't typically use his flame manipulation to harass the fishman. (Instead, he'd be dodging blood swords.) At least it's just a heated flicker and not enough to catch anything on fire, but Zed's hand retreats just in case.]
Sorry. Moonlacing supposedly creates a sort of rejuvenating effect, so I thought that may help. [He's guessing that the flame was only a surprised reaction, but the lack of blood is definitely a good sign.] Did I overstep?
[His hand lowers from Toshinori's shoulder, but it's still slightly extended toward him, palm slightly up if the he wants to take it again. The comm bracelet on his wrist is already updating with the brief touch's production of Chroma.]
SORRY MY MAN, SORRY! [his hand shoots up to cover his mouth, not wanting any more fire to make its way out. Ha ha... I guess there's a first time for everything?
Hm. [THEY COULD PLAY THE APOLOGY GAME ALL DAY, but he doesn't exactly feel like it. So Zed sighs, not quite sure what to do with his new acquaintance or himself.]
...I'm glad it doesn't appear to be the same as a drug side-effect from my world. My friend's daughter almost died from it. [Hence his worry.]
I have no idea what's going on. My vision and eyes are messed up too. I'm seeing auras around everything... seriously thought I was about to have a stroke for a minute there... [T-Toshi... don't make jokes about your health when you look like a walking corpse...]
